Pre-Production

  • Let’s us start with introduction from both sides, the main purpose is to let you know more about me and I can find out more on how I can help you document these precious memories of you with your family.

    The enquiries from my side will include the following:

    • Number of family members participating in this upcoming photoshoot you’re planning

    • Your desired location(s) for the photoshoot to take place

    • Find out if infants/babies are present; if any member is currently pregnant; if any member(s) has mobility difficulty

    • Proposed date and time

    Don’t worry if you have many locations in your wishlist, you can list it out then I can provide you some useful feedbacks for your considerations.

    Unless we are doing it at the comfort of your own house, our conversation may involve a back-up plan in case of any varying weather factors.

  • Before any creative process can start, I will need to know not just how many members in total, I will also need you to list down the family tree for members who are participating the shoot.

    From the family tree list, I can assign scenes to participating family members more appropriately, able to plan shots based on the relations seen from the family tree, able to pre-plan shots suitable for babies or elderly etc. I can also mix things up, think of appropriate combos based on the family tree you provide.

    On top of providing you a personalized moodboard of pre-shoot ideas, I will also specially prepare a sequence list based on the family tree you had provide to save the hassle of deciding who to go first or next during the shoot. But of course, the moodboard and the sequence list, I will sent to you for reference and feedback if you are alright with it, and if any changes, can let me know.

On-site Photoshoot

  • The session starts with early arrival on site to access the current situations around the photoshoot area, taking account of anything to avoid or to take note. I will also prepare my equipments and perform test shoots.

    Once everyone is present and ready, we will start the session!

  • Even though details has been nailed down during the pre-production phase, I also ensure effective communications on the spot so that we can handle any varying factors more smoothly such as

    • The need to activate back-up plan or adjustment of timing due to sudden change in weather during shoot or just before shoot

    • Notify any wardrobe malfunction, if there’s any

    • Any point of time, if any member is not feeling well, we will stop the shoot to access the situation before taking the necessary next steps

Post-Production

  • The aim is to brings those family moments, documented during the photoshoot, to life with precision and artistry!

    Meticulous attention will be devoted, selecting only the best shots to represent your family.

    Time and effort are invested to work on the edits for each and every selected best pick photo to create a cohesive and visually stunning final gallery.

    Whether it's enhancing colors, adjusting lighting, refining composition, or removing blemishes, each layer is meticulously worked through to ensure that every aspect of the visuals looks natural and polished.

  • My approach to color grade will be natural true color, but of course, depending on the location(s), the time of the day or the amount of available light, these will also play a part in color grading the final work.
